Behold the simple majesty of the Triple Peanut:

He also passed along a question regarding the frequency of the three chambered legume:

Dear Corey,

I'm attaching a picture of my triplets. Enjoy

But I'm curious to know the following : how often does one pull a triple chambered peanut out of the average ball game sized bag of nuts?

Christian

A great question, Christian, but before I hazard an answer, I must caution the reader that I am not an expert on the Triple Peanut nor have I been divinely blessed by any particular knowledge of it. I am merely a person who has decided to dedicate a portion of his life to contemplating and appreciating the awe-inspiring essence contained within the trifurcated pod. I learn new and exciting things about the Tri-Nut everyday and if I have learned more than most, it is only because I take care to afford these most delightful of legumes the respect and care that they deserve.

Now then, on to my answer. Although it is only natural for us to be curious about the inner workings of the Triple, their will is not ours to know. We must trust in the Triple's providence and know always that when one finds us, it is only because it must be so. When we are united with a triple peanut, rather than pry into the inner workings of how the union came to fruition, it is perhaps more prudent to rejoice in the simple majesty of a lifelong connection between two life forms finally being consummated. Keep this in mind, and your journey will never want for meaning.

Christian responds:

This is a great truth before me today. My whole life ive tried to find a cluster of trips to call my own, but now I know that it is not I who finds the nuts, it's the nuts who will find me. Thanks Corey! Keep the site up and running! If Your quest gets tough and you want to stop because you realize you run a website based on rare peanuts, DON'T! whatever you f**king do, don't stop blogging my nuts. You need this. The world needs this. . . I... Need this.

Cheers!

Haha! Your exuberance is well met, dear Christian! Short of meeting a Triple through the course of one's own life, there truly is no greater joy than rejoicing in the find of another! You have my solemn promise that these pages will forever be dedicated to the celebration of the Glorious Triple, for as we need the Tri-Nut it most certainly needs us as well. We are each but a part of a cosmic whole and when our paths see fit to cross, each of us becomes more complete through the sacred act of consumption. This journey binds us together, man and legume, and by fully appreciating it we grow closer to being one with the numinous essence of the universe! I wish many happy returns to you, my friend, may the rest of your days be blessed with the most bountiful and fulfilling of finds!

Corey J. This allows me ample time to decompress after the holidays and resume life as normal without being inundated by an avalanche of emails.

This year, during my first email check of the year, I was delighted to find the following email, which was sent to me on Christmas Day:

Dear Corey,

First of all, I'd like to applaud your excellent blog. Finally a place where I can share my finds! You seem like someone who sees the sheer beauty and universal essence that is the Triple Peanut. Therefore, I feel I can trust you with this short personal story..

Me and my brother Daniel have a history with Triple Peanuts. A few years ago, I was snacking from a random bag of relatively cheap peanuts, bought at the local grocery store. After a few hands of lesser peanuts (two or less nuts), I found a genuine Triple Peanut! There was only one problem; There was no one around to share my joy.. I decided to keep the Triple Peanut safe, so I could show it to my brother, who surely would appreciate this awesome find.

When he visited me a couple of days later, I held the Triple Peanut in my fist, knuckles up. I reached out my arm and said: "Got something for ya." He opened his hand, and I passed the Triple Peanut to my brother, who instantly understood the gravity of the event that had just occurred.

Since that day, whenever one of us finds a Triple Peanut, we save it for the each other, handing them over exactly the way we did the first time! True story.

I've included a few pics of the pretty huge Triple Peanut I got from my brother a couple a few days ago. Hope you like 'm!

Merry Christmas!

Steven D.

Weert, Holland

Here are the pictures:

"Smoking can seriously damage you and others around you."

And a Merry Christmas to you, dear Steven! First of all, I want to assure you that you can place your trust in this special little corner of the Internet to always treat the Wondrous Triple with the extremely high levels of respect and admiration that it most assuredly deserves. Nothing less will be tolerated in these hallowed pages. You have my word.

Now onto your Triples. "Sheer beauty and universal essence" . . . so well put. For surely we and the Triple are fundamentally one in the same. It is this very shared essence that makes our bond with a Triple Peanut so special and so enduring. This bond is forged long before consumption, long before even discovery. When a person and a Tri-nut find each other, it is but a step in a journey begun long ago. This journey of course being consummated in the sacred act of consumption when our physical forms unite.

That you and your brother have decided to share this journey together shows that you both clearly understand what full appreciation of the Glorious Triple entails. On this journey, as in life, there will be many triumphs. But without loved ones to share them, these triumphs ring as hollow as an empty shell post consumption. Like a wedding without guests, the moment of discovery is beautiful in and of itself, but only when shared with those closest to us does it become truly transcendent. At the very least, the situation calls for a traditional celebratory fist bump.

On the other hand certain pitfalls are an inevitability. I myself have seen nary a Triple in many months. Steven, you and my dear friend Hana have carried me through this unfortunate (but temporary) drought by graciously sharing not only your peanuts, but more importantly, your deep, respectful admiration of the legume. It is a delightful coincidence that we were brought together by our shared passion during this, the holiday season. The Glorious Triple works in mysterious ways; it is not our duty to question these, but merely to accept them and be prepared should a Triple enter our lives. There are opportunities all around us to bask in the warm glow of Triple discovery; it is our charge to identify them as such and seize them to the fullest.

So thank you again, Steven, for the first Dutch Triple Peanut I have ever seen. May your new year be filled with the soft, supple Light of the Triple and may you be surrounded by scores of loved ones to dance with you in its tender glow.

Corey J. I'm sorry for the quality, but photos were made with my cell phone and before I could get a camera my sisters managed to eat the peanut :(. That text under the picture of girl says cca "3 delights in 1", it's an ad for snack bar 3bit and it's my mouse-pad or how it is called :). So I replaced 3bit with my triple peanut, the slogan fitted :). Bye :)

Hana from Slovakia

PS: Sorry for my English, didn't have chance to practise for a while :-x.."

Here is the picture:

First of all Hana, let me say that your English is fantastic. Hopefully, this will be the first in a long list of triple peanut encounters that will last for years to come. I know that you will find this journey very rewarding. Always remember: each triple peanut is special, not just for its delicious taste and generous portions, but for the places we find them in and the people we share them with.

Third, for your first discovery, the picture was very artfully done! You already understand that it is not enough to only take a picture of the Vitruous Triple; we must celebrate it and give it the consideration and attention to detail that such a wondrous legume most decidedly deserves. The cell phone pictures turned out just fine, and don't get discouraged, there will always be sisters to prematurely eat our triple peanuts before we can fully enjoy them in the way only a true lover of the Triple knows how. I have a sister myself and the voracity with which she consumes triple peanuts would be alarming were it no so eminently understandable. The allure of the triple is unyielding and those of us who are not lucky enough to possess such even tempers find it difficult to control. We must not judge these people, it is just the nature of the peanut itself that overtakes them. Luckily, there are those of us dedicated to the respectful, measured admiration that the glorious triple requires to fully impart its treasures.

So here's to the first Slovakian triple peanut I have ever seen. If three peanuts can coexist so harmoniously in one shell, then surely we can all live together in peace here on planet Earth.

Corey J. After all, mine was a pleasant pursuit. A hearty sendup of that most lighthearted and fancy-free of legumes. But like all good things, my carefree romp through the world of the Triple would not go unsullied by the cold heart of man and his voracious love of all things prurient and unwholesome. I am of course talking about that most lascivious of grotesqueries, the quadruple peanut.

To those of you that have been sending me pictures of quarduple peanuts, I must insist that you stop immediately. The quadruple peanut is an abomination and has no place here. Not now, not ever. To think that I would besmirch these hallowed pages explicitly dedicated to recording the Virtuous Triple with something so base and ribald as a quadruple peanut is laughable. Your insinuations that I would do so are insult of the highest order and one that I assure you will not be taken lightly.

Honestly, I cannot even imagine what sort of perverse pleasure one could get from a quadruple peanut. So opulent. So unrefined. It is the height of bad taste. When I compare the smooth, rolling curves of a triple peanut to the lumpy, unseemly protrusions of a quadruple, I simply fail to understand how one could choose to associate themselves with the latter when armed with knowledge of the existence of the former.

Quadruple peanuts have no elegance. There's no propriety in their construction. They are simply crammed to the gills with as many nuts as can fit in one pea. Does an Aston Martin have 28 cupholders? No, it does not. If you are lucky enough to ride in one, you will politely hold your drink in your lap and be mindful not to slurp when you near the bottom. Such is the way with the triple peanut. It demands careful consideration and nuanced appreciation. It is mysterious and beautiful and joyful. And it is here, in this small, safe corner of the Internet, that it shall live forever, unfettered by it's gnarled, mutant quadruple cousin.

Thank you and good day.

Corey J.

If you have come across any triple peanuts in your own travels and would like to see them displayed here, please send them to CJFarris@gmail.com

Corey J.
